Himalayan Pilgrimages
One of the most popular pilgrmages in India is the Char Dham Yatra. Pilgrims visit the 4 holy shrines of Yamunotri, Badrinath, Kedarnath and Gangotri. All 4 shrines are hidden away in remote mountain valleys. The pilgrimage season starts in mid April and closes at the end of October when winter sets in.
